I haven’t checked out all the bars in town because I stopped after Hoppers. It’s located next to the movie theater and it has some great burgers.
We were told by a friend to check them out and we are so glad we did. The burgers are big and delicious. You can even call ahead and get them to go. We often order them to go and then enjoy them while watching TV.
Granted you can also stay and have some drinks. It is a bar of course. 🙂
They have other menu items too like fries, onion rings, chicken, walleye, cream cheese wantons and so much more. I’m hungry just thinking about it.
The atmosphere has always been nice and the service very friendly. Check them out, if even just for burgers.

My brother works at Hoppers! I actually just bought a house around the corner from there, too, so I will soon be living in Wacktown (again). I can’t say I’ve ever eaten anything at Hoppers…
You forgot to mention the “literature” in the men’s bathroom. Haha.
I’ve never been in the bathroom there. Maybe I should. 🙂
Hoppers is a dump! The bartenders almost live at the bar and are rude as they come. I would never spend another cent in that place. The food-normal bar food…..try a burger at the Saloon! Yum!
Best bar in town I enjoy the Saloon every once in awhile mainly for Big Buck Hunter then move to Hoppers, lots of fun and the staff is pretty cool for the most part. Great burgers! Not a bad place to meet chicks either.
Not to steal a line from Toby Keith but… I love this bar!
Hey mike (#4) is that the gay bar(The Saloon)in Minneaplis your talking about? Maybe Hoppers is a little to striaght for you.
When I moved into town, my neighbor said “The Saloon has the best burgers!” I went there and was unimpressed by the frozen patty burgers I could get at Mackenthun’s. Had a burger at Hoppers: now I’ll never settle for a Saloon burger again.
I like the ambience at The Saloon better if I’m just drinking with a couple friends, but Hopper’s is superior, in my opinion.
You know, the burgers are not bad. At least the 6th best in the metro. And i never have too much of an issue on most nights since the smoking ban kicked in, but..
Hoppers is nearly unbearable on weekends.
The “regulars” music rotation is bad enough, but god forbid Snoop Dawg and his posse roll up and it gets even worse.
uh, uh, what, what, uh, yeah…whoa.
Great. Just great.
Nickelback and Snoop. Classic tunes.
right.
