It’s been a month since I last posted. Has there been no Waconia news? Actually, I’ve just been busy.
If you’d like to submit any news tips, thoughts or even a business listing, just pop over to the submission page and tell us all about it!
We’d love to hear from others to keep this site going with Waconia happenings!!
The biggest news in Waconia lately has to be that Nancy’s Landing closed. Rumor is the people that own Jake O’Connors and O’Donovans are remodeling and will open as a seafood joint next year. We shall see how the locals take to their concept after losing their beloved Chefs Paul and Laura. I love both the pubs’ for atmosphere alone so am looking forward to seeing what they come up with. Can’t deny that it’s the end of an era at Nancy’s and the Boathouse. Hopefully more people will patronize gem that is The Green Room now.
That, and have you seen Lake Street lately? They have currently dug up right in front of my folks’ house so I see the daily progress. It’s dirty.
Also – my new favorite liquor store, aside from Legacy, is Parker Tannins in Victoria. A quick stop there on the long commute home from downtown (and at the little gourmet Mackenthun’s shop next door for some dinner ‘n beans) and life is good again.
