The Family Safety fair is Saturday September 24th from 9:30am to 11:30 am.
It’s free and open to kids 0 to 6 years old and has lot so fun activities. Such as:

It all takes place at the Waconia Fire Station.
Yesterday the word was Champps, today it’s Ground Round.
I don’t know if they switched restaurants, or if we are getting both, but I have been able to confirm that the city has approved the sight plans for Ground Round over by the AmericInn.
No idea when construction would start or when it’d open.
I heard a rumor, from a very credible source, that Champps is looking to build a sports bar in Waconia.
The location would be over by the AmericInn.
I haven’t been able to confirm this, but my source is pretty reliable.
Hopefully it’s true!

иконописиконографияThe rodeo is coming to Carver County Fairgrounds in Wacoina on August 26th and 27th.
The rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and it’s the first time a Professional Rodeo has come to the fairgrounds.
Performances at 7:00 pm. each night.
Adult tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate.
Child (6-10) tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate.
Children 5 and under are free
Tickets are also available at Mackenthuns and Waconia Farm Supply in Waconia
We went to the Lake Waconia beach on Sunday and the water was green. It looked like a seaweed smoothie and there was no way I was getting in there or letting my kids in there.
It was downright disgusting.
Hopefully it clears up soon as we want to do more swimming this summer!

Located on the corner of highway 7 and 25 is Dimler’s pumpkin patch.
They have hundreds of pumpkins that you can choose from.
Shop the already picked pumpkins and pay by the pound, or pick your own and pay $4 a pumpkin or 3 for $11.
If you pick your own, you can choose any pumpkin, any size, any shape as long as it’s still on the vine. And the selection is massive!
They also have other fall decorations like gourds, corn, and mini-pumpkins.
It’s fun and picking your own pumpkins is a great family activity!
Waconia’s Nickle Dickle Day is Saturday August 18th in downtown Waconia.
There will be food, games, exhibits and plenty of fun. Plus a huge antique car show.
